annuals die and don't come back. > put them in a green house or in garage and they will live. keep out of cold.
love my perennials.. they come back.

succulents, sedum's, cactus's, other drought tolerant plants. we have a window box on the south side of our house. the house is a dark brown, and there is a deck there as well. those three things together literally turn that window box into an oven. didnt matter how much water we poured on it, whatever was planted there would wilt to no end. we planted some succulents and they seem to have done fine last summer.

i tried to pluck off a horn worm, it flipped out and sprayed me with green stuff. i left it alone.
