WOW, six years ago but still relevant now. I need that habit. I always start out good for a couple weeks then stress hits and the sink becomes a holding cell. Ugh! I will try yet again.

I'm from Spain so I never understood the need for garbage disposal. As an outsider, I feel this is a symptom of laziness. Can somebody explain to me that I'm wrong?

This doesn't help me at all. My sinks aren't steel.

Great video. For the garbage disposal, if I use a brush to get around the rubber gasket at the top, and the sides, can you run the brush through the dishwasher or will the plastic melt ???? I don['t think any cleaner gets the grime off the underside perfectly.

Love your videos! Question: What's the easiest and cheapest way to clean paint from a stainless steel sink and drain? I recently repainted my entire home including the cabinets and counter-tops. Unfortunately, the kitchen sink looks terrible. Having a hard time removing the latex, acrylic and enamel paints from the sink. Thanks so much for any insight. πŸ™‚

What about that really nasty hole in where the dishwasher empties into the drain/garbage disposal? Yuk! I've been using pipe cleaners (from craft stores) to clean it out. Also have used a drain unclogger; the long flexible one with a brush on the end.
