I bought the Encore Autumn Amethyst about a month ago. Planted it into my half size barrel, sunny location. All the flowers eventually fell off. I belive it had to do with those cool 40 temps. ..and lots of rain. Yesterday i noticed one side of branch's withering away…otherwise it looks OK. is there anything i could do or should do , regardless what mother nature does?

Your information really helps me a lot. I have dianthus bicolor and dianthus paint the town magenta. You say dianthus love sunlight but my bicolor don't. Everytime the flowers bloom and get too much heat, they'll be sere. Idk why.
