I love quinoa. I used to have a lot of it. But please be mindful of the adverse ecological consequences it has on Bolivia and Peru.ย

This looks so good. I am thinking of making a weekly batch just for work lunches. How long will this keep for?

Actually it's a seed. It's cooked like a grain which is why ppl get confused ๐Ÿ™‚ So good for you.

I heard that it is a seed and then I read from somewhere else it's a grain. So, I'm not sure. But I've heard more that it's a seed.

Can I substitute or leave out the cilantro? I'm one of those people for whom cilantro tastes like soap and I can't stand it even chopped into things.

@m0sas It reminds me most of couscous, but it has a more 'seedy' texture. I love the stuff, although I don't know if I can speak for cockatoos!
